چکیده
This paper is devoted to the performance analysis of detectors proposed in companion [1] where a comprehensive design framework presented for adaptive detection subspace signals. The addresses four variations on detection: may be known or only by its dimension; consecutive visits unconstrained they constrained prior probability distribution. In this paper, Monte Carlo simulations are used compare derived with estimate-and-plug (EP) approximations generalized likelihood ratio (GLR) detectors. Remarkably, some EP appear here first time (at least best authors' knowledge). numerical examples indicate that GLR effective partially-known signals affected inherent uncertainties due system operating environment. particular, if signal known, tend ouperform If, instead, dimension, and very similar. Actually, there does not exist general rule recommending first-order approach respect second-order one vice versa. Nevertheless, contains specific case can outperform schemes.

Unified Optimal Linear Estimation Fusion— Part II: Discussions and Examples
Several unified optimal estimation/track fusion rules in the sense of best linear unbiased estimation (BLUE) and weighted least squares (WLS) have been presented in Part I [6] for centralized, distributed, and hybrid fusion architectures. This paper discusses their pros and cons, verifies these rules, and demonstrate via simulation examples how these fusion rules can be used in cases with eithe...
متن کاملGeneral Adaptive Neighborhood Image Processing Part II: Practical Application Examples
The so-called General Adaptive Neighborhood Image Processing (GANIP) approach is presented in a two parts paper dealing respectively with its theoretical and practical aspects. The General Adaptive Neighborhood (GAN) paradigm, theoretically introduced in Part I [20], allows the building of new image processing transformations using context-dependent analysis. With the help of a specified analyz...
متن کاملUnified Theory of Source Coding: Part II -- Multiterminal Problems
In the first paper of this two part communication, we solved in a unified framework a variety of two terminal source coding problems with noncooperative encoders, thereby consolidating works of Shannon, Slepian-Wolf, Wyner, Ahlswede-Körner, Wyner-Ziv, Berger et al. and Berger-Yeung. To achieve such unification we made use of a fundamental principle that dissociates bulk of the analysis from the...

متن کاملProbabilistic Fracture Analysis of Functionally Graded Materials - Part II: Implementation and Numerical Examples
Probabilistic fracture analyses are performed for investigating uncertain fracture response of Functionally Graded Material (FGM) structures. The First-Order-Reliability-Method (FORM) is implemented into an existing Finite Element code for FGM (FE-FGM), which was previously developed at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign [2]. The computational simulation will be used in order to est...
